Does Enzo upload my recordings or Recall?

Transcription, speaker recognition, and Recall collection run on your Mac. Ask uses Local by default. If you choose DeepSeek Flash with your own API key, your question, recent conversation, and selected text context go directly to DeepSeek. That text can include excerpts from recordings, Recall, documents, and your screen. Raw audio, files, screenshots, and images are not uploaded by that request. Optional web research sends a public query directly to a search provider and retrieves selected sources. License checks, downloads, updates, and optional analytics also use the internet.

Does a bot join my meetings?

No. Enzo captures the meeting locally from your Mac, so it works with Zoom, Meet, Teams, FaceTime, and other calling apps without inviting a bot or connecting your calendar.

What does Recall actually keep?

Recall is opt-in on every plan. It keeps app and time plus bounded readable context when macOS exposes it safely. It does not keep a screenshot archive. Context is encrypted locally, uses 30-day retention by default, and can be paused, inspected, exported, or deleted. You can change the retention period on any plan. Starter retains permitted context too, so a later Pro purchase can use what is still stored on your Mac.

What stays free, including live transcription?

Starter includes unlimited Solo dictation, saved recordings and final transcripts, playback, transcript search, and tags across all saved days. Live Solo transcription is free when the Live & Auto Mode component is installed and Live recording assistant is enabled. Seeing live text does not start the Pro trial; creating new Ask answers requires Pro. Recall includes today’s full timeline and overviews of earlier retained days.

Can I see earlier Recall days without Pro?

Yes. Starter shows whole-day overviews with observed app time, an activity rhythm, selected workspace titles, and links to saved recordings. Pro adds the full retained timeline, captured context, historical search, local daily briefs, and local Ask. New daily briefs require Pro even for today. Previously saved briefs and answers stay readable. Saved recordings remain available in Speak regardless of the Recall day.

If I buy Pro later, can it use context from before I purchased?

Yes, if Recall was enabled and that context is still retained on your Mac. Pro unlocks detailed browsing, search, and local AI over retained context collected before purchase. Starter does not create new daily briefs in the background. Buying Pro cannot recover context that was never captured, excluded, deleted, or removed by your retention settings.

When does the Pro trial start?

The 10-day Pro trial starts only when you intentionally use a Pro feature, not while the app or its models are downloading. No card or account is required. When it ends, Starter keeps unlimited Solo, live Solo text when installed, recordings, playback, search, and tags in Speak, plus Recall collection, today’s full timeline, and earlier-day overviews. Existing recordings, answers, briefs, and documents stay readable; creating new AI results requires Pro.

Is this a subscription?

No subscription is required. Starter is free without a time limit. Pro is $39 once for one active Mac, can move with you when you switch Macs, and includes local AI and future updates. You do not need cloud models for full retained Recall history, local chat, or local daily briefs. Optional DeepSeek Flash uses your own API key; any provider usage charges are separate from Enzo Pro.

How much does setup download?

First-run setup downloads only Solo Fast, about 440 MB. Meeting Mode downloads about 3 GB of Meeting and Live + Auto models when you choose Meetings, and Ask downloads about 3.4 GB of Enzo Intelligence when you choose Ask. You can also download every missing model ahead of time from Settings. Interrupted downloads resume, stay on your Mac, and never use your trial time.

Which Macs are supported?

Enzo runs on Apple Silicon Macs—M1 or newer—with macOS 15 or later. English is currently supported for dictation and meetings.
